God is my Refuge

Psalm 9:9-10 “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”

When everyone around you has turned their back and you can´t seem to find any comfort, what do you do? The Bible teaches us to seek God in times of trouble and in times of contentment or peace. But aren’t there just those times when your world is completely turned upside down? When you can’t rest at night or keep a clear head because there is too much trouble around? I say to you seek God and let him heal you. If it is sickness in you or a loved one, pray to God to remove the sickness and if the sickness can’t be removed, pray to God to help you grieve. There comes a time when the physical life is too much to bear. When those times arise you have to seek out your spiritual side and allow your soul to be touched. Allow God into your soul, he will heal any pain, he will fight any battle. Trust in him. Do not forsake him. Give him your battle and allow him to be your refuge. When you need an escape and when you want to get away, don’t take a trip or move to a new location. Seek God wherever you are right now. He is the only one who can cure you.
